A former four-term member of the Ohio House of Representatives, Jamie has notable experience in education, public policy, administrative rule-making, and government affairs.
He played an integral role in the creation of Ohio’s community/charter schools, and has appeared at all levels of the court in major charter school litigation. Dedicated to education, he was instrumental in creating “value added” as a measure of a child’s educational progress. Jamie was appointed as Ohio’s representative on the Education Commission of States, and worked with the Bush Administration and various state governors to develop the standards and accountability on a national level. This work led to the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act. Jamie provides course content review for accrediting agencies, endowment management, oversight to grant applications and submissions.
focused on the public sector
Not only does Jamie represent charter schools and their operators, he serves non-profit organizations, colleges, universities and other educational entities, municipalities, libraries, museums, and mental health organizations.
