A driven leader, Jeff serves as Partner-in-Charge of the firm's Cincinnati office, co-leads the firm's Litigation Practice and is the Executive Editor of the American Bar Association's publication, Litigation News. Throughout a wide range of industries Jeff has handled numerous injunction hearings related to covenants not to compete, franchise disputes, insurance coverage, real estate and trade secrets. He assists hospitals and medical professionals in physician peer review and credential hearings, and prepares employee policy manuals, employment and executive compensation agreements, as well as competitive intelligence policies.

  • Lead defense counsel in injunction hearings and related litigation in sealed proceedings related to directors' and officers' fiduciary duties during sale of business and potential bankruptcy filing.
  • Lead defense counsel in litigation seeking preliminary and permanent injunction against alleged conspiracy, trade secret and employee raiding claims arising in insurance brokerage industry.
  • Lead defense counsel in litigation, including restraining order and evidentiary injunction hearings, in trade secret/unfair competition claims arising in ultraviolet-light disinfection industry.
  • Lead trial counsel defending multiple stock brokers against non-competition, non-solicitation, trade secret and unfair competition claims.
  • Successfully defended healthcare antitrust actions.
  • Obtained summary judgment in favor of hospital, successfully excluding plaintiff's expert witness in an attack on hospital-based physician exclusive provider contract.
  • Counseled employers on options for pursuing potential claims against former employees while avoiding significant litigation.
