Employment Litigation-Defense

-Thomson Reuters

Stacy has a uniquely effective perspective in helping employers identify and resolve labor and employment issues.

After seven years of practice with boutique employee-side litigation firms, Stacy joined Buckley King to focus on representing employers. Her approach is simple and straightforward -- listen to the client, understand their business objectives and then provide them with timely, value-driven solutions to maintain an outstanding workforce while minimizing legal risk.

Stacy is one of the youngest attorneys in Ohio to be designated an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist in Labor and Employment Law, an honor she earned in 2008. She has tried cases before federal and state courts, and has argued appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Supreme Court of Ohio. Her practice focuses on training, counseling and defending employers in discrimination issues, retaliation claims, wage and hour, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, and traditional labor matters.

Stacy also focuses on public-sector counseling and litigation. She is adept on Ohio's public records and immunity laws, and has litigated high-profile constitutional cases involving local, state and federal governmental entities. While serving as supervising outside counsel for the Ohio Department of Youth Services' Civil Rights Program, Stacy oversaw the investigation and resolution of hundreds of civil rights complaints.
